MAINTENANCE MANUAL
(c)
The warning is issued if N1 of engine #2 or #3 exceeds a predetermined level, three or more fuel switches are in the "RUN" position and any unsafe condition exists. The warning is non-resettable until all unsafe conditions are corrected. When the MSTR WARN/CAUTION LT is pressed, the light goes out but the siren will be heard until the unsafe condition is corrected or throttles are pulled back.
(d)
Selecting the takeoff configuration warning confidence test through the CMC simulates accelerating an engine to takeoff power. No warnings occur when testing an airplane properly configured for takeoff. If the airplane is not properly configured for takeoff a configuration warning results.
(e)
During takeoff the ACARS, cabin interphone and SELCAL chimes are inhibited and remain inhibited until the airplane reaches a predetermined altitude.
Landing Configuration Warning (Fig. 7)
(a)
An aural warning will occur if any of the following conditions occur during landing configuration; non.resettable warning is issued if gear is not down and locked and flaps are in a landing position, a resettable warning is issued if gear is not down and locked and any throttle lever is retarded into landing configuration and altitude is less than 800 feet (a.d airspeed is less than 80 knots for airplanes with airspeed < 80 knots). The warning consists of sirens, master warning lights and the EICAS message, "CONFIG GEAR".
(b)
All warning indications are cancelled when the configuration error is corrected. The aural warning associated with the resettable warning is also silenced by pushing the master warning/caution reset switch.
(c)
Pushing the ground proximity/configuration gear override switch also inhibits the warning aurals for resettable warnings when the gear is up.
Overspeed Warning
(a)
An overspeed warning occurs whenever the Vmo/Mmo limits are exceeded.
(b)
The overspeed warning consists of illumination of the master warning lights, activation of the aural warning siren and the message "OVERSPEED" on the EICAS.
(c)
The master warning lights can be reset, but the siren will continue until the speed is reduced below Vmo/Mmo.

Autopilot Disconnect
(a)
An autopilot disconnect warning causes the siren to activate as well as the master warning lights.
(b)
Pushing the master warning reset will deactivate the warning light only. The siren can be reset only by re-engaging the autopilot or by pushing the autopilot disconnect switch on the control wheel.
(5)
Fire Warnings
(a)
A fire warning will cause the fire bell and the master warning light to activate unless the takeoff inhibit is active. Pushing the master warning reset will deactivate master warning light and the siren.
(b)
The firebell warning sounds for one second on and ten seconds off.
(6)
Stabilizer Greenband
(a)
Determines which of the stab trim greenbands is appropriate based on gross weight, CG and thrust derate information supplied by the FMC.
(b)
Activates the greenband lights on the stab trim indicators, checks for valid limits of CG (8.5 to 33), compares selected greenband with nose oleo pressure.
(c)
EICAS level "C" message "STAB GREENBAND" is displayed if switch indicates high pressure (heavy weight, fwd CG) and nose down band selected or switch indicates low pressure (light weight, aft CG) and nose up band selected. If mid band is selected no message will appear.
