 (f)  
Automatic event recordings for flight controls, fuel, ECS, electrical, hydraulic and gear are enabled after any two engines are running and the parking brake is released. Performance, EPCS and APU automatic event recordings are not inhibited.

 (g)  
Engine redline exceedances and time of duration for rotor speed and EGT parameters, including an EGT histogram, is automatically recorded in NVM. This data is available for display on the EICAS engine exceedance maintenance format.


 (4)  EICAS Display Format Control
 (a)  General
 1)  This section describes the manual selection/automatic initiation of EICAS display formats with multiple and single DU configurations.
 2)  Since the CAPT'S and F/O's ND DUs can be selected to function as EICAS displays (Fig. 7), it is necessary to assign display priorities when describing display format selection. a) The highest operational EICAS priority display is the
 main display, all others are auxiliary displays. If more than one auxiliary display is selected, they will present the same format.
 b)  The EICAS DU priorities are assigned as follows:
 Upper EICAS - Priority 1 Lower EICAS - Priority 2 Capt's ND - Priority 3 F/O's ND - Priority 4
 3)  Normal EICAS operational conditions exist when a minimum of two EICAS capable DUs are available to present EICAS display formats.
 4)  A degraded EICAS mode exists when there is only one EICAS capable DU available to present EICAS display formats.
 5)  The EICAS secondary and compacted engine parameter formats may be displayed in either a full or a partial format (Fig. 19, 20, 21 and 22). If some, but not all of the secondary engine parameters (N2, vibration, and oil pressure, temperature and quantity) are displayed, the format is termed -partial. If all of the secondary engine parameters are displayed, the format is termed -full.

 6)  The EICAS Display Select Panel (DSP) switches listed below are used to manually control the associated formats on the auxiliary display.
 ENG - Secondary engine STAT - Status ELEC - Electrical synoptic FUEL - Fuel synoptic ECS - ECS synoptic HYD - Hydraulic synoptic DRS - Doors synoptic GEAR - Gear synoptic
 (b) Normal Operation - Secondary Exceedances Do Not Exist
 1)  The following describes the display control when the secondary engine parameters (N2, oil pressure, oil temperature, oil quantity and engine vibration) are in their normal operating range.
 2)  The main display will present the EICAS primary engine
 parameter format at all times. 3) The auxiliary display will be controlled as follows: 4) Pressing an EICAS DSP switch while it's associated format
 is not displayed will cause that format to be displayed.
 5)  Pressing an EICAS DSP switch while it's associated format is displayed will deselect that format by blanking the display.
 6)  The STAT switch is an exception to the above because it also controls the paging of status messages.
 7)  When the status format is initially selected, the first page of status messages, if any, is displayed. a) If more than one page of status messages exists, each
 successive depression of the STAT switch will cause the next page of status messages to be displayed.
 b)  When the last page of status messages (or no messages) is displayed, depression of the STAT switch will deselect the status format by blanking the display.
 8)  The following events will initialize the auxiliary display with the secondary engine parameter format. a) Initial power application. b) In-flight shut down of any engine c) Loss of display selection capability, such as a failure
 of both the CAPT's and F/O's CDUs.
 (c) Normal Operation - Secondary Exceedances Exist
 1)  The following describes the display control when any secondary engine parameter (N2, oil pressure, oil temperature, oil quantity and engine vibration) anomaly occurs. a) Amber band and redline exceedances are distinct
 anomalies.
