(2) Install the display transfer module:
(a)
Remove the dust caps from the electrical connector(s).
(b)
Examine the module's electrical connector(s) for loose, bent, or broken pins.
(c)
Connect the electrical connector(s) to the module.
(d)
Put the module carefully into the instrument panel.
(e)
Install the screws into the front of the module.

(3) Close these circuit breakers and remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7F9, EIU L
2) 7F10, EIU C
3) 7F12, ND L

Do a test of the display transfer module:
(a)
Set the INBD CRT and LWR CRT switches on the display transfer modules to the NORM position.
(b)
Set the EIU SEL switch on the EICAS control panel/FMC switch to the AUTO position.
(c)
Set the EIU switches on the source select modules to the AUTO position.
(d)
Make sure that the six integrated display units (IDUs) show these formats: 1) The outboard DUs show the PFD format. 2) The inboard DUs show the ND format. 3) The upper EICAS DU shows the primary engine format.
(e)
Set the INBD CRT switches to the PFD position. 1) Make sure that the inboard IDUs show the PFD format.
(f)
Set the INBD CRT switches to the NORM position. 1) Make sure that the inboard IDUs show the ND format.

SOURCE SELECT MODULE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This subject has two tasks. The first task is to remove the source select module from the pilots' instrument panel. The second task is to install the source select module into the pilots' instrument panel. The installation task includes a test of the installation of the module.
B. The captain's source select module (P1 panel) contains five source select switches, one clock, and one radio magnetic indicator. The first officer's source select module (P3 panel) contains five source select switches and one clock.
