H. EICAS Control Panel/FMC Switch Test

(1) Do a test of the HDG switch:
(a) Set the HDG switch to the TRUE position. 1) Make sure the NDs show TRU adjacent to the present track.

(b) Set the HDG switch to the NORM position. 1) Make sure the NDs show MAG adjacent to the present track.

Push the MENU key on the CDU to show the MENU.

Push the LSK adjacent to the <CMC prompt to show the CMC menu.
NOTE: If the CMC menu is not shown, push the LSK adjacent to
____ the <RETURN prompt if it is necessary until you see the menu.
(d)
Push the LSK adjacent to the <EICAS MAINT PAGES.
(e)
Push the NEXT PAGE key if it is necessary until the
<24 ELECTRICAL prompt shows.
(f)
Push the LSK adjacent to the <24 ELECTRICAL prompt.
1) Make sure the EICAS PAGE CONTROL shows.
(g)
Push the LSK adjacent to the <MANUAL SNAPSHOTS prompt. 1) Make sure the CDU shows the MANUAL SNAPSHOTS page. 2) Make sure the CDU MANUAL SNAPSHOTS page shows a snapshot
with current date and time.

(3) Do a test of the FMC switch:
(a)
Push the LSK adjacent to the <RETURN prompt until the CDU shows the CMC MENU.
(b)
Push the LSK adjacent to the <GROUND TESTS prompt.
(c)
Push the NEXT PAGE key if it is necessary until you find the <FLIGHT MANAGEMENT prompt.
(d)
Push the LSK adjacent to the <FLIGHT MANAGEMENT prompt.
(e)
Set the FMC switch to the L position.
1) Make sure the CDU shows INHIBITED on the top of the <FMC-R prompt.
(f)
Set the FMC switch to the R position.
1) Make sure the CDU shows INHIBITED on the top of the <FMC-L prompt.

(4) Do a test of the EIU SEL switch:
(a) Open these circuit breakers:
1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7F9, EIU L
b) 7F10, EIU C
c) 7F15, EIU R
2) Make sure the IDUs go out of view.
(b) Set the EIU SEL switch to the L position.

1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7F9, EIU L
2) Make sure the IDUs show these formats: a) Outboard IDUs the PFD format b) Inboard IDUs the ND format c) Upper IDU the EICAS primary engine parameters format d) Lower IDU the EICAS secondary engine parameters format.
(d)
Set the EIU SEL switch to the C position. 1) Make sure the upper and lower IDUs go out of view.
(e)
Close this circuit breaker:
1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7F10, EIU C
2) Make sure the upper and lower IDUs show these formats: a) Upper IDU the EICAS primary engine parameters format b) Lower IDU the EICAS secondary engine parameters format.
(f)
Set the EIU SEL switch to the R position. 1) Make sure the upper and lower IDUs go out of view.
(g)
Close this circuit breaker:
