MAWEA PRINTED-CIRCUIT CARDS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has three tasks. These tasks are a removal, an installation and a test for the printed-circuit cards contained in the MAWEA.
B. The removal, the installation and the test procedures for each
printed-circuit card are the same.
C. There are three printed-circuit card types: Universal Logic Cards (ULC), Signal Collection/Tail ID Cards (SCID), and Aural Synthesizer Cards (ASC).
(1)
The Digital Flight Data Acquisition Card (DFDAC) is also installed in the MAWEA.
(2)
Refer to MM 31-31-06/401 for the removal/installation of the DFDAC.
D. This test is good for all the cards in the MAWEA.

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7A01, MAWEA PWR A
2) 7B01, MAWEA PWR B

(2) Also open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags if you remove the Stall Warning Card:
(a) P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7D05, STICK SHAKER L

CAUTION: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO REMOVE A
_______ PRINTED-CIRCUIT CARD. A FAILURE TO DO THE STEPS CORRECTLY CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(4) Do this task to remove the applicable printed-circuit card from the MAWEA card file: "ESDS Circuit Card Removal" (AMM 20-41-02/201).
NOTE: The assembly numbers of each printed-circuit card are
____ identified on the inner side of the MAWEA.
