(1) Open the left and right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

(2) Open the left and right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
F. Replace the bracket (Fig. 802)

(1)
For the angle brackets at the supports, remove the four bolts, nuts and washers that attach the support to the sector ring and to the angle bracket.

(2)
For the angle brackets at the manifolds, remove the four bolts, nuts, washers and two spacers washers that attach the manifold to the sector ring and to the angle bracket.

(3)
Remove the two bolts and nuts that attach the angle bracket to the aft flange.
S 328-014-C00
(4)
With a grinder, grind off the head of the rivet that keeps the angle bracket attached to the aft flange.

(5)
Remove the bracket.
S 328-016-C00
(6)
With a grinder, smooth the rivet shank with the adjacent surface of the flange.
(a) Do not permit the grinding wheel to touch the flange surface.

(7) Install the replacement angle bracket on the aft flange with two bolts and nuts.
(a) Tighten the nuts to 90-100 pound-inches
(10.5-11.5 Newton meters).

(8) Attach the support or the manifold to the angle bracket and the sector ring with four bolts, nuts and washers.

(9) For the angle brackets at the manifolds, put the spacer washer between the heat shield and the manifold at the two mounting bolt holes.
(a) Tighten the nuts to 50-55 pound-inches (5.5-6.5 Newton meters).
