2) Put the lever arm on the vane stem.
3) Engage the lever arm pin in the actuation ring.
4) Make sure the lever arm fully engages with the vane stem
tang.

While you hold the lever arm with the countertorque tool to make sure the vane does not turn, install the nut and washer from the vane stem. 1) Tighten the nut to 55-70 pound-inches (6-8 Newton meters).

Make sure that two to three threads of the vane stem comes out of the nut (Fig. 801). 1) Make sure the lever arm correctly engages the vane. 2) If the lever arm does not engage the vane stem tang, do the
removal and installation procedures again.

A. General
(1) This procedure is for the removal and installation of one bolt and nut.
(a) If you remove more than one bolt remove and install the bolt and nut, before you remove the subsequent bolt and nut.
