2)  Tighten the screws that go through elastomer spacers (aft screws, near the extension ring) to 35-90 pound-inches (4-10 Newton meters). To align correctly aft panels to extension ring panels, see AMM 71-11-00/201 Aerodynamic Smoothness.
 (h)  Where it is possible, start at the screws in the center of the acoustical panels.

 (3)  Apply sealant, MIL-A-46106 at these locations (Ref CFMI Standard Practices Manual 70-66-12):
 (a)  
Between the OGV's and the aft acoustical panels

 (b)  
Between the aft acoustical panels and the fan frame struts

 (c)  
Between the aft acoustical panels.

For the applicable thrust reverser, do this task: Close the Thrust Reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

For the applicable fan cowl panel, do this task: Close the Fan Cowl Panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Do this task, Thrust Reverser Activation After Ground Maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tags from the start levers.

 (1)  Make sure the start levers are in the CUTOFF position.
 (a)  Install the DO-NOT-OPERATE tags.

 (2)  Open the applicable fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (a)  ENGINES WITH THE BONDED ACOUSTICAL PANELS; Remove the eight collars and bolts from the acoustical panel.
