WARNING:_______ ACID SOLUTIONS ARE VERY ACTIVE AND CAUSE SERIUOS BURNS.
 TO PREVENT INJURY, DO NOT LET THE ACID TOUCH YOUR SKIN,
 EYES AND CLOTHING.  DO NOT BREATH THE VAPORS.
 USE A FACE SHIELD, GLOVES, PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AND
 PROTECTIVE SHOES.
 CAUTION:_______ A FIXTURE IS RECOMMENDED WHEN THE SOLUTION IS APPLIED WITH
 A BRUSH OR A SPONGE TO PREVENT DAMAGE.  DO NOT SPLASH THE
 SOLUTION ONTO METALS THAT ARE NOT ALUMINIUM.  THE SOLUTION

 IS VERY CORROSIVE.
 (a)  Rub the surface using a stainless alloy plier and a swab that is wet with the acid solution.
 NOTE: If it is necessary, do this procedure again to get the
____ necessary effect. Wait about one minute between two applications. Usually the coating takes 1 to 10 minutes to form fully.
 (b)  
Put the OGV fully in a hot water bath at 140°F (60°C) to rinse it.

 (c)  
Dry the OGV using clean dry air or an oven at 160°F (70°C).

 (d)  
Make sure the coating has a golden iridescent color.

 (e)  
If the coating is powdery, remove the coating and do the application again.

 NOTE: A powdery coating is a sign that the treatment was done

 (1)  Open the applicable fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS PROCEDURE WHEN YOU OPEN THE
_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (2)  
Open the applicable thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (3)  
Remove the outlet guide vane (OGV) (AMM 72-33-01/401).

To make sure the OGV is in the repairable limits, do this task: Outlet Guide Vane (OGV) Inspection (AMM 72-33-00/601).

 (5)  
Use a cutter to remove any polyurethane residues and loose fibers. Do this until the OGV has a smooth and continuous profile without any sharp edges.
