(e) If the inner and outer housings can not be removed easily, do the steps that follow: 1) Do not remove the housings. 2) Remove the guide puller from the inner and outer housings. 3) Remove the outer housing. 4) Examine the outer housing for damage (AMM 72-62-02/601). 5) If there is no damage to the outer housing, install the
outer housing in the fan frame.
NOTE: Do not continue with the removal procedure if the
____ outer housing is not damaged.
(f)
If the inner and outer housings are easily removed, then continue with this procedure.
(g)
Remove the guide puller from the inner and outer housings.
(h)
Move the inner and outer housings apart.
(i)
Remove the preformed packings (O-rings). 1) Discard the preformed packings (O-rings).
(j)
Examine the inner and outer housings (AMM 72-62-02/601).
