Close the right and left thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Close the right and left fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (3)
Remove the protective mats from the lower half of the inlet cowl.


 (a)  Make sure there are no tools or parts in the inlet.

 (4)  
For the applicable engine, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close the ENGINE START VALVE circuit breaker.

 (5)  
Do the activation procedure for the thrust reverser
 (AMM 78-31-00/201).

FAN FRAME - APPROVED REPAIRS

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains the tasks that follow:
 (1)  
Removal of rust from the fan frame casing.

 (2)  
Local reconditioning of the abradable shroud.

 (3)  
Patch repair of the abradable shroud.

 (4)  
Circular patch repair of the abradable shroud.

 (5)  
Outlet guide vane blend repair.

 (6)  
Outlet guide vane speed tape repair.

 (7)  
Consolidated/fly home repair for an inner radial drive shaft housing leak.


 B.  You must open the applicable fan cowl and thrust reverser to get access
 to the fan frame casing.
