ú 3) Apply a lockwire to the two bolts. ú ú NOTE:____If no more than one insert is damaged and it is ú preventing the installation of one bolt to secure ú the cover, do these steps: ú 1. Continued service is permitted until the next ú engine shop visit. ú 2. Use a temporary marking to identify the bolt ú that was intentionally uninstalled. ú

 (3)  Remove the end caps from the tubes.
 NOTE: Before you install or connect the tubes, make sure the
____ mating surfaces, coupling nuts, and nipples are clean.

 CAUTION:_______USE TWO WRENCHES WHEN YOU INSTALL THE TUBE. USE ONE TO HOLD THE NIPPLE, AND THE OTHER TO TIGHTEN THE NUT. DAMAGE TO THE TGB CAN OCCUR IF YOU DO NOT USE TWO WRENCHES.
 (4)  Do these steps to connect the fuel pressure tubes (Fig. 404):
 (a)  
Connect and tighten the coupling nut for the TC1 tube to 65-75 pound-inches (7.5-8.5 Newton meters).

 (b)  
Connect and tighten the coupling nut on the PB tube for the T2 sensor to 65-75 pound-inches (7.5-8.5 Newton meters).

 (c)  
Connect and tighten the coupling nut on the PB tube for the CIT sensor aft of the TGB to 65-75 pound-inches (7.5-8.5 Newton meters).

 (d)  
Do these steps to install the bracket to the top of the TGB: 1) Lightly lubricate the threads of the bolt with grease. 2) Use the bolt to attach the bracket to the top of the TGB. 3) Tighten the bolt to 105-115 pound-inches


 (12.0-13.0 Newton meters). 4) Apply a lockwire to the bolt.

 (5)  Do these steps to install the oil supply tube for the TGB
 (Fig. 403):

 (a)  
Remove the end caps from the tubes and the oil supply nipples.

 (b)  
Lightly lubricate the threads of the nipples.

 (c)  
Connect one end of the oil supply tube to the oil supply nipple on the TGB.

 (d)  
Connect the other end of the oil supply tube to the tube for the main oil supply.

 (e)  
Make sure the tube is free from all remaining torque.

 (f)  
Tighten the nuts to 135-150 pound-inches
 (15.5-17.0 Newton meters).

 (6)  Connect the vent pressure tube.
 (a) Remove the end caps from the tube and the vent nipple.
 (b) Lightly lubricate the threads of the nipple and connect the
 vent pressure tube to the nipple on the TGB.

 (7)  Do these steps to install the oil scavenge tube of the TGB:
 (a) Make an inspection of the gasket (AMM 70-30-01/201).
 1) If the gasket is in a satisfactory condition, you can use
 it again.
 (b) Remove the plugs from the tube and the port on the TGB.
 (c) Lightly lubricate the gasket.
 (d) Install the gasket between the flange and the TGB housing.
 (e) Lightly lubricate the threads of the bolts with grease.
 (f) Use four bolts to attach the tube to the TGB.
 1) Make sure the tube is free from all remaining torque.
 (g) Tighten the bolts to 55-60 pound-inches (6-7 Newton meters).

 (8)  Do these steps to install the bracket to the bottom of the TGB
 (Fig. 402):
 (a) Lightly lubricate the two bolts with grease.
 (b) Attach the bracket with the two bolts and tighten to
 95-105 pound-inches (11-12 Newton meters).

 (9)  Do these steps to attach the support tube for the wire bundle to the
 engine brackets:
 (a) Attach the the tube to the bracket on the MEC and to the top of
 the TGB with a bolt, nut and washer.
 (b) Attach the the tube to the bracket on the bottom of the TGB
 with two bolts, nuts and washers.

 (10)
 Remove the end caps and connect the electrical connector for the VBV reset solenoil (Fig. 401).
