CAUTION:_______DO NOT REMOVE MORE THAN ONE BOLT AND NUT AT A TIME. DAMAGE TO
THE CASE OR THE INTERNAL ENGINE COMPONENTS CAN OCCUR.
(3) Remove the bolt and nut.
(a)
Do not turn the alignment bolts.
(b)
Refer to Fig. 802 for the alignment bolt location.
NOTE: You can use a plastic drift to hit the bolt out of the
____
flange.
G. Install the Horizontal Flange Bolt and Nut on the Front Stator Case for the HPC (Fig. 802).

(1) Apply graphite grease to the bolt threads.
(a) Fay the surfaces of the bolt, nut and flanges.

(2) Install the bolt with the bolt head pointed at the top of the
engine.
(a) If you remove the alignment bolt, engage the bolt with a mallet.

(3) While you hold the bolt, install the nut.
(a)
Make sure the run-on torque of the nut is 7.0-30.0 pound-inches (0.8-3.4 Newton meters).
(b)
Replace the nut if it does not make its limit.
(c)
Tighten the nut (refer to the torque shown on Fig. 802).

Make sure that two to three threads of the horizontal flange bolt
comes out of the nut.

(5)
Make sure the opening in the flange is less than 0.003 inch
(0.08 mm).

WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN AMM 78-31-00/201 WHEN YOU CLOSE THE

THRUST REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY
TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(6)
Close the right and left thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(7)
Close the right and left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).
