CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE MATS IN THE INLET COWL. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE FROM TOOLS, PARTS OR UNWANTED MATERIAL THAT FALL ON THE INLET COWL.

Install the mats into the lower half of the inlet cowl.
(3)
Remove the spinner front and rear cones (AMM 72-31-01/401).

Examine the areas of the fan blades for the conditions follow: NOTE: The leading and trailing edges are the most forward and aft

edges of the airfoils from the tip to the platform.
(a) Dovetail:
1) Molydag coating on the pressure face:
a) 100% of molydag coating missing is permitted on the pressure face contact area.
NOTE: A 1500 to 3000 cycle maximum service
____ extension is permitted. The blade must be cleaned before the inspection and then relubricated with CFMI recommended product before the installation for extension.
NOTE: Repeated extensions are permitted if
____ dovetail is cleaned, examined and then lubricated before the blade installation.
NOTE: Typical appearance of the molydag coating is
____ bright dark grey.
NOTE: Typical appearance of unaffected Cu Ni
____ Indium coating (no wear) associated with molydag coating missing is light grey coloure.
