OUTLET GUIDE VANES (OGV) INSPECTION

(3) ENGINES WITH THE COMPOSITE OGV's; Examine the OGV's for damage as follows:
NOTE: If the damage is more than the limits, you must replace the
____
OGV's (AMM 72-33-01/401).
(a)
OGV's that are missing or broken: 1) Missing or broken OGV's are not serviceable. 2) A service extension of a maximum of 10 cycles or 25 hours
is permitted with a maximum of two missing or broken OGV's
in the following areas of the fan:
a) 1 to 5 o'clock.
b) 7 to 11 o'clock.
(b)
OGV's that have become delaminated: 1) OGV's that have become delaminated are not serviceable. 2) A maximum service extension of 10 cycles or 25 hours is
permitted with no limit to the number and size of the delamination.
(c)
OGV's with cracks, breaks, or tears in the composite fabric: 1) OGV's with cracks, breaks or tears are not serviceable. 2) A maximum service extension of 10 cycles or 25 hours is
permitted with no limit to the number and size of cracks, breaks, or tears.
(d)
Surface protection (Tedlar) that is missing: 1) A maximum of 50 percent of missing surface protection is serviceable.
2) A maximum service extension of 100 cycles or 250 hours is permitted if more than 50 percent of the surface protection is missing.
(e)
Missing material on the metallic leading edge:
1) Missing material on the metallic leading edge is not serviceable. A service extension of a maximum of 100 cycles or 250 hours is permitted with the full leading edge missing.
