(1)
Open the left and right fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).
S 025-044-C00
(2)
Disconnect the starter or fuel pump, and hydraulic and CSD pad drain.
S 945-045-C00

CAUTION: DO NOT OVER-PRESSURIZE THE CAVITY. THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED_______
PRESSURE IS 29 PSI (200 kpa). OVER-PRESSURIZING THE
SYSTEM CAN DAMAGE THE MAG SEAL.
(6) Open the air or nitrogen supply source and pressurize the cavity to
14.5 PSI (1 kpa).
S 425-049-C00
(7) Close the isolation valve to isolate the AGB cavity.
S 785-050-C00
(8) Do a check of the sealing cavity to make sure there is no decrease
in air pressure for one minute.
S 795-051-C00
(9) If you cannot isolate and pressurize the cavity, or if you find a
quick pressure decrease, this indicates one or more of the these
conditions:
NOTE: The problems listed directly below all involve the____
starter or other equipment attached to the AGB. You will
need to remove these items to troubleshoot, isolate, and
correct the defect.
(a) The AGB has a damaged O-ring.
(b) There is a missing O-ring on the starter output shaft.
(c) There is a problem with a carbon seal.
S 785-052-C00
(10)
After you corrected the problem, perform the pressurized leak check again to make sure the AGB cavity has a satisfactory seal.
S 415-053-C00
(11)
After you complete the pressurized test of the AGB, remove the sealing tool and re-install the oil tube on the starter or other drain pad. Torque the connector to 200-250 pound-inches (22.6-28.2 Newton meters).
