F. Prepare to Remove the RDS
 S 014-002-C00
 (1)  Open the left and right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS PROCEDURE WHEN YOU OPEN THE
_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (2)  Open the left and right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
 G. Remove the Radial Drive Shaft (Fig. 401)
 S 034-004-C00
 (1)  
Remove the transfer gearbox (AMM 72-62-01/401).

 (2)  
Do these steps to remove the RDS:

 (a)  
Thread the puller in the end of the radial drive shaft. 1) Carefully remove the radial drive shaft.

 (b)  
Remove the puller. 1) Keep the radial drive shaft in a protective tube.

 (c)  
Put a plug in the opening where you removed the radial drive shaft.

 (3)  If you will not remove the RDS housing, then go to the RDS
 installation.

 H. Remove the RDS Housings (Fig. 402)
 S 094-007-C00
 (1)  
Put a container below the engine for the engine oil leakage.

 S 034-007-C00

 (2)
If it is necessary, remove the cover where you removed the RDS.

 S 024-008-C00

 (3)  
Remove the inner and outer housings as follows:

 (a)  
Remove the grease or oil with acetone where you removed the transfer gearbox.

 (b)  
Remove the 4 bolts that hold the outer housing to the fan frame.

 (c)  
Install the guide puller in the inner and outer housings.

 (d)  
Carefully remove the inner and outer housings.

 

 NOTE: The inner housing is held in its position with an
____
 adhesive material.
