2) A maximum service extension of 100 cycles or 250 hours is
permitted if the nicks, dents or scratches are not more
than 0.16 inch (4 mm) in depth.
(h) Nicks, dents or scratches on the metallic leading edge
(Fig. 603):
1) There is no limit on the quantity of nicks, dents, or
scratches if they are not more than 0.12 inch (3 mm) in
depth.
2) A maximum service extension of 100 cycles or 250 hours is
permitted if the nicks, dents, or scratches are not more
than 0.16 inch (4 mm) in depth.
(i) Nicks, dents or scratches on the trailing edge (Fig. 604):
1) There is no limit on the quantity of nicks, dents, or
scratches if they are not more than 0.12 inch (3 mm) in
depth.
2) A maximum service extension of 100 cycles or 250 hours is
permitted if the nicks, dents, or scratches are not more
than 0.2 inch (5 mm) in depth.
(j) Nicks, dents or scratches on the airfoil surfaces:
1) There is no limit on the quantity of nicks, dents, or
scratches if they are not more than 0.02 inch (0.5 mm) in
depth.
2) A maximum service extension of 100 cycles or 250 hours is
permitted if the nicks, dents, or scratches are not more
than 0.06 inch (1.5 mm) in depth.
(k) Loose bonds on the inner or outer platforms:
1) Loose bonding on the inner or outer platforms is not
serviceable.
2) A maximum service extension of 10 cycles or 25 hours is
permitted with loose bonding on the inner or outer
platforms.
(l) Nicks, dents or scratches on the inner and outer platforms:
1) There is no limit on the quantity of nicks, dents, or
scratches if they are not more than 0.04 inch (1 mm) in
depth.

platform in the area between the attachment hole and the airfoil. The longest crack permitted is one that starts in the attachment hole and continues up to the airfoil.
