(i) Apply a layer of 1200 primer with a brush at these areas:
NOTE: Let the primer dry for 1 hour before you apply the RTV.

1) The rabbet diameter and along the large diameter of the inner housing for 1.77 inches (45.00 mm). 2) The bore diameter of the No. 10 strut.
(j)
Apply a layer of RTV 730 on the outer rabbet diameter and along the large diameter of the inner housing for 1.77 inches
(45.0 mm).
(k)
Install the inner and outer housings in the fan frame.
(l)
Remove the guide puller.
(m)
Install the four bolts that attach the outer housing.
1) Tighten the bolts to 145-160 pound-inches
(16-18 newton meters).
(n)
Let the RTV dry for 5 hours before you install the RDS and
transfer gearbox.

(7) Do these steps to install the RDS:
(a) Remove the radial drive shaft from the protective tube.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ENGAGE THE SPLINES ON THE RADIAL DRIVE

SHAFT INTO THE INLET GEARBOX. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS
PRECAUTION, DAMAGE TO THE SEALS CAN OCCUR.
(b)
Put a light layer of engine oil on the splines at the two ends.
(c)
Carefully move the collar end (outward) on the RDS through the RDS port.
(d)
Make sure the splines are fully engaged.
NOTE: Splines are fully engaged when the RDS points out
____ 0.640 + 0.040 inch (16.25 + 1.00 mm) from the RDS port.

(8) Install the transfer gearbox (AMM 72-62-01/401).

WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS PROCEDURE WHEN YOU CLOSE THE
_______ THRUST REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(9)
Close the left and right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(10)
Close the left and right fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).
