Do these steps to connect the push-pull cables for the thrust control (Fig. 401):
(a) ENGINES WITH THE FUEL SHUTOFF CABLE WITHOUT THE ADJUSTABLE CLEVIS END; Do these steps to connect the push-pull cable for the fuel shutoff: 1) Remove the bolts which attach the cover of the
fuel control box to the fuel control box.

2) Use two bolts and washers to attach the cable support bracket to the top of the fuel control box. a) Tighten the bolts with your hand.
NOTE: Do not apply a torque.

3) Use the bolts, washers and nuts to attach the clamp links for the fuel shutoff cable to the fuel shutoff lever.
NOTE: Make sure the head of the bolt faces the engine.

a) Tighten the nut.
4) Tighten the bolts which attach the support bracket to the top of the fuel control box. a) Apply a lockwire to the bolts.
5) Apply a lockwire to the locknut which attaches the fuel shutoff cable to the support bracket.
(b) ENGINES WITH THE FUEL SHUTOFF CABLE WITH THE ADJUSTABLE CLEVIS END; Do these steps to connect the push-pull cable for the fuel shutoff: 1) Use two bolts to attach the cable support bracket to the
top of the fuel control box.
a) Tighten the bolts with your hand.
NOTE: Do not apply a torque.

NOTE: Make sure the head of the bolt faces the engine.

(c) Do these steps to connect the throttle push-pull cable:
1) Remove the quick disconnect clamp from the throttle cable.
2) Connect the throttle cable to the rack on the fuel control
box.
3) Remove the rig pin from the fuel control box.
4) Install the quick disconnect clamps again.
5) Tighten the two screws and apply a lockwire to them.
(d) Attach the push-pull cables to the clamps on the engine.
(e) Use the bolts and washers to attach the cover to the
fuel control box.
NOTE:____ You can install the cover after you do the
travel test for the engine control system.
