Move the horizontal drive shaft aft to disengage the shaft from the AGB.

(3) Do these steps to install the support at the location on the AGB where you removed the horizontal drive shaft:
(a)
Put a layer of engine oil on the O-ring.
(b)
Install the support at the opening on the AGB.
NOTE: The support includes the gage, the safety valve and

the nipple.
(c)
Use the V-clamp and the self-locking nut to attach the support to the AGB (Fig. 502).
(d)
Tighten the nut to 50-60 pound-inches (5-7 Newton meters).

Install the cover for the N2 drive pad as follows:
WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE COVER ON THE AGB WHEN THIS TASK
_______ IS DONE. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE COVER ON THE AGB, THE ENGINE CAN LEAK OIL WHEN IT IS OPERATED. INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL THE COVER ON THE AGB WITHOUT NEW O-RINGS.
_______ IF THE COVER IS INSTALLED WITHOUT NEW O-RINGS, THE ENGINE CAN HAVE OIL LEAKAGE. THIS CAN CAUSE ENGINE FAILURE.
(a) Do these steps to attach the cover on the drive pad:
1) Lubricate new O-rings with oil, CFMI SB 79-001.
2) Install the new O-rings on the cover.
3) Install the cover on the drive pad.
4) Install the 5 bolts on the cover as follows:
a) Lightly lubricate the bolt threads with grease, GP460, Aeroshell 8. b) Install the five bolts and washers.

(6) Put the plastic tubes on the end of the tubes to the starter, fuel pump, generator drive pad, and hydraulic pump drain.
(a) Put the open end of the tubes in the container of water.

(7) Do the leak check as follows:
(a) Make sure the TGB Oil Scavenge, AGB Oil Supply and AGB Oil Scavenge lines are plugged prior to preforming the test.

Connect the air or nitrogen source to the nipple on the support.
(c)
Apply an air pressure of 10-12 psig (0.7-0.8 kpa) to the AGB.
(d)
Make sure there is no air bubbles in the water. 1) If you see air bubbles, do these steps: a) Remove and replace the applicable drive pad seal (AMM 72-60-00/201).
b) Do the pressure test again after you replace the seal that leaks.

Disconnect the air or nitrogen pressure source from the support nipple when you complete the test.

Remove the plastic tubes from the ends of the drain tubes.
