5) Loosen the stud. 6) Tighten the stud again to a torque of 490 to 530 pound-inches (55-60 Newton meters) (AMM 70-20-02/201).

(4) Install the rear cover on the turbine frame:
(a)
Use the studs as locators to put the rear cover in its correct position.
(b)
Make sure that the offset hole of the cover and the offset hole in the turbine frame align.
NOTE: The offset hole locations are identified by an
____ indentation on the rear face of the cover and on the inner diameter of the turbine frame.
(c)
Apply a thin layer of graphite grease to the threads of the bolts that hold the rear cover. 1) Install the bolts.
(d)
Tighten the bolts to a torque of 85 to 90 pound-inch (9.5 to
10.5 Nm).

(5) Install the flange assembly:
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU HANDLE THE GASKET SEAL AND THE FLANGE.
_______ IF YOU DO NOT USE PROPER CARE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Install a new gasket seal on the forward flange of the flange assembly.
(b)
Apply a thin layer of graphite grease to the threads of the bolts that hold the flange assembly.
(c)
Use the bolts to install the flange assembly to the turbine frame.
(d)
Tighten the bolts to a torque of 85 to 90 pound-inch (9.5 to
10.5 Nm).

(6) Install the flame arrestor on the flange assembly:
(a)
Apply a thin layer of graphite grease to the threads of the bolts that hold the flame arrestor.
(b)
Use the bolts to install the flame arrestor on the flange assembly.
(c)
Tighten the bolts to a torque of 100 to 115 pound-inch (11 to 13 Nm).
