Open the left and right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the primary exhaust sleeve (AMM 78-11-01/401) and the exhaust plug (AMM 78-11-02/401).

Remove the clamp, shield, bolt and nut (Fig. 801).
(a) Disconnect the union nut.

(5) Remove the bolts that attach the flame arrestor to the flange assembly (Fig. 802).
(a) Remove the flame arrestor.

Remove the bolts that attach the flange assembly to the turbine frame (Fig. 802).

Remove the flange assembly with six jackscrews (856A1130P11) from the tool set (Fig. 802).

Disconnect the oil supply tube to the aft sump from the nipple installed on the oil inlet cover (Fig. 802).
NOTE: Do not remove the nipple from the oil inlet cover.

(a) Disconnect the oil supply tube to the aft sump from the union nut for the oil supply tube.

Remove the bolts that attach the oil inlet cover (Fig. 802).

If it is necessary, remove the oil inlet cover in the steps that follow:
(a)
Remove the oil inlet cover (Fig. 802).
1) Discard the O-ring.
(b)
Remove the bolt, nut and clamp that connect the oil supply tube in the inner hub of the LPT frame (Fig. 802).

Pull the oil supply tube down through the No. 6 strut to fully disengage the guide bushing from the boss of the LPT frame (Fig. 803).

Make a record of the worn areas of the bushing before you remove the tube from the No. 6 strut (Ref 72-56-00/601).
(a) Make sure it is necessary to change the bushing.

Cut the tube to remove the elbow from the tube (Fig. 803).

Remove the tube from the No. 6 strut through the inner hub of the LPT frame.

Apply a thin layer of Molykote G rapid (CP2104) with a spray gun on the guide bushing of the new tube (Fig. 804).
(a) Install a new tube into the No. 6 strut from the outer end of the LPT frame.

Put the swivel connector wirenut on the nipple of the oil supply tube with the wirenut hole put on the wire groove on the nipple (Fig. 804).

Install the swivel connector wire into the wirenut hole with a hammer (Fig. 804).
(a)
Complete the installation of the swivel connector wire with a drift.
(b)
The swivel connector wire must be installed fully into the
wirenut.
NOTE: Make sure the wirenut turns freely after you install the

wire on the tube.

(18) Install the clamp on the new tube again (Fig.802).
(a)
Put a light layer of grease (CP2101) on the thread of the bolt.
(b)
Install the tube in the clamp.
(c)
Attach with the nut.
(d)
Tighten the nut to 35-40 pound-inches (4.0-4.5 Newton meters).
