E. Install the Mid Acoustical Panel
 S 434-016-C00
 (1)
If it is necessary, attach the snap-fit fillet skin to the
 acoustical panel.

 S 424-017-C00

 (2)
Install the mid acoustical panel as follows (Fig. 402):

CAUTION: APPLY A LAYER OF GRAPHITE GREASE (CP2101) TO THE SCREWS.
_______ IF YOU DO NOT, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (a)
Apply grease, SAE AMS2518 (CP2101), to all screws that hold the acoustical panels as follows: 1) Apply grease, SAE AMS2518 (CP2101), to the screw threads

and contact faces below the screw heads.

 (b)
Put the acoustical panel on the fan case through the removed fan blade location. 1) Slide the smaller end of the panel under the larger end of

 the adjacent panel.

 (c)
Align the screw holes in the acoustical panel with the holes in the fillet skins.

 (d)
Install the eight screws in the acoustical panel.

CAUTION: IF YOU USE A PNEUMATIC OR ELECTRICAL SCREWDRIVER TO
_______ TIGHTEN THE ACOUSTICAL PANEL SCREWS, MAKE SURE THE SPEED IS NOT MORE THAN 200 RPM. IF THE SPEED IS MORE THAN 200 RPM, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (e)  As you tighten each screw, make sure the torque of the self locking nut is 4.5-31 pound-inches (0.5-3.5 Newton meters). 1) If the self locking nut torque is more than 31 pound-inches
(3.5 Newton meters), visually examine the installation to make sure the panel is seated correctly. a) If the panel is not correctly seated, find the cause
 and correct it.

2)  If the self locking nut torque is less than 4.5 pound-inches (0.5 Newton meters), do the steps below to lock the acoustical panel screw.
 (f)  Lock the acoustical panel screw as follows: 1) Clean screws and nuts with solvent, (CP1039). 2) Apply sealant RTV (CP2242) to the screw threads and contact
 faces below the screw heads.
 (g)  Torque the screws to 66-75 pound-inches (7.5-8.5 Newton meters). 1) Where it is possible, start at the screws in the center of
 the acoustical panels.
 S 414-018-C00
 (3)  Install the three fan blades (AMM 72-31-02/401).
NOTE: If you re-install the same fan blades that you removed to
____ install the mid-accoustical panel, then it is not necessary to do the vibration survey of the fan blades (AMM 71-00-00/501).
