 (a)  Sheet Metal:
 1)  Unbonded sheet metal is serviceable in the limits as follows: a) Two dampers without smaller (upper) sheet metal (fully
 debonded) are permitted for a damper set (quantity of 38). b) There is no limit to the number of dampers with debonding of the larger (lower) sheet metal as follows:
 1.  Debonding is not more than 0.9 inch (23 mm) in
_ length and 1.1 inches (27 mm) in width.
 c)  A continue-in-service limit of 25 cycles is permitted if there are not more than four dampers with a fully unbonded larger metal sheet and if you remove the unbonded sheet metal.
 2) Cracks are not serviceable; a 50 cycle maximum service extension is permitted. 3) There is no limit on the quantity of wear or fretting after you remove the high metal.
 (b)  Damper Body:
 1)  There is no limit on the quantity of defects as follows: a) The total length and width of the defects is less than
 0.4 inch (10 mm). b) The maximum depth is less than 0.2 inch (5 mm). c) No more than four damaged dampers are permitted. d) If more than one damaged damper is installed in the
 rotor, they must be equally put apart around the rotor.

 (c)  Damper Retainer (Axial Stops) 1) Cracks are not serviceable. 2) There is no limit on the quantity of wear or fretting if
 there are no cracks and you remove the high metal.

 (8)  ENGINES WITH A REBROACHED FAN DISK; (ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 72-621 AND POST-CFMI-SB 72-820); Examine the shims for the conditions that follow:
 NOTE: Rebroached fan disks are identified by a white line of
____ paint that circles the fan disk, along with the words SHIMS REQUIRED in white letters on one side of the disk. On the opposite side of the disk are the words DISK REPAIRED, also in white letters. (Reference CFMI Service Bulletins 72-621 and 72-820 for more information.)
 (a)  
Cracks, tears or punctures that are not serviceable

 (b)  
Any amount of scratches if it is not more than 0.003 inch

 (0.08 mm) in depth.

 (c)
Any amount of nicks, dents if it is not more than 0.003 inch


 (0.08 mm) in depth and cumuled surface affected less than 10% of each contact pressure face.
