(1)
Remove the pressure from rudder hydraulic systems A and B (AMM 27-21-00/201).

Release the pressure from the hydraulic reservoirs (AMM 29-09-00/201).

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P6-2 panel
1) STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR
2) STABILIZER TRIM CONT
(4)
Get access to the tail compartment through access door 3701.
(5)
Close the No. 5 manual shutoff valve.

Do these steps to remove the pressure reducer (Fig. 401):
(a)
Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the pressure reducer.
(b)
Remove the pressure reducer.

Install the pressure reducer (Fig. 401):
(a)
Put the pressure reducer in its position.
(b)
Connect the hydraulic lines to the pressure reducer.

Open the No. 5 manual shutoff valve.

Do these steps to make sure the pressure reducer is serviceable:
(a)
Pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs (AMM 29-09-00/201).
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL
_______ CONTROL SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THE AILERONS, RUDDER, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b)
Supply the pressure to hydraulic systems A and B (AMM 27-21-00/201).
(c)
Move the rudder pedals through their full travel three times and make sure the rudder moves correctly.
(d)
Make sure the pressure reducer does not have a leak.
(4)
Close the access door 3701.
