Make sure that the rudder trim indicator is at the zero unit.
(d)
Adjust the input rod of the feel and centering unit until the system is at the center.
(e)
Install the rig pin R-5 in the output crank of the feel and centering unit. 1) Make sure you can install the rig pin easily without
movement of the output crank.

Remove the rudder hydraulic power systems A and B (Ref 27-21-00/201).
(g)
If the index mark does not align with the mark at the center for more than 0.02 inch, Adjust the control rod: 1) Loosen the two checknuts on the rod assembly. 2) Remove the bolt that attaches the aft end of the control
rod to the actuator.
3) In the same direction, turn the tub and the rod end until the index mark aligns with the mark at the center to less than 0.02 inch.
NOTE: One-half turn of one rod end is same as 0.015 inch
____ approximately at the index mark.
4) Install the clevis bolt at the rod end. 5) Set the FLT CONTROL A and B switches to ON.
(h) If the index mark does not align with the mark at the center for less than 0.02 inch, Adjust the control rod: 1) Loosen the two checknuts on the rod assembly, and then turn
them approximately two turns. 2) Turn the tube until the index marks align with the mark at the center.
NOTE: One full turn at the tube moves the index mark
____ approximately 0.006 inch.
3) Tighten the two checknuts.
(i)
Make sure you see the rod end threads through the inspection holes at the two ends of the tub.
(j)
Remove the rig pin R-5.
(k)
Do a test of the rudder and the rudder trim control system.
