Do this task: "Remove the Pressure from the Elevator Hydraulic
Systems A and B" (AMM 27-31-00/201).
Make sure that the B dimension is at 41.57 |0.01 inches.
Remove the access panel 9313L or 9413R (access panels of the
tab pushrod at the upper inboard end of the elevator).
Determine if titanium or aluminum tab pushrods are installed.
NOTE: The aft ends of the titanium pushrods have two
____ checknuts for each pushrod. The aft ends of the aluminum pushrods have one checknut for each pushrod.
If aluminum tab pushrods are installed, remove the access panels 9105 or 9205.If aluminum tab pushrods are installed, loosen the checknuts at each aft and forward end of the two right hand elevator tab pushrods.If titanium tab pushrods are installed, loosen the two checknuts on each of the two right hand elevator tab pushrods.Use the C27032 ski jump tool and do the steps that follow to measure the stabilizer to elevator gap (ski jump) for the right elevator (Fig. 508A).
NOTE: The ski jump measurement is an optional measurement.

1) Use the zero block to adjust the dial indicator of the ski
jump tool assembly to zero. 2) Push the elevator trailing edge full up. 3) While you move the elevator trailing edge down, align the
center of the right elevator trailing edge with the index mark within |0.04 inch or less.
NOTE: Keep the elevators at this position while you do
____ the steps to find the ski jump value for the right elevator. If the elevator position is changed, you must put the elevator trailing edge at the full up position and do this step again before you continue.
