Remove the cable clamps and keep a record of their location.
NOTE: The clamp locations are not the same for the captain's
____ and the first officer's cables.
(c) Hold the cable retaining nut and washer and pull the cable forward to remove it from the rudder jackshaft.

Disconnect the top part of the cable:
(a)
Remove the four bolts that connect the bearing housing to the crank support bracket.
(b)
Move the adjustment crank fully down to get clearance between the adjustment crank and the crank support bracket.
(c)
Pull the crank, bearing housing, and cable rearward to remove it from the airplane.

(5) On the first officer's cable,
remove the 13-inch long nylon tube from the cable.

(1)
Connect the top part of the cable:
(a)
Push the cable through the crank support bracket.
(b)
Move the bottom end of the cable near the rudder jackshaft.
(c)
Install the four bolts that connect the bearing housing to the crank support bracket.

Install the lower part of the rudder pedal adjustment cable:
(a)
Push the cable through the jackshaft support. 1) Put the cable retaining nut and washer on the cable.
(b)
Put the end of the cable in the jackshaft.
1) Turn the cable until the cable engages the pin in the rudder jackshaft.
