Remove the rudder hinge that you will examine (Ref 27-21-21/401).
(2)
Measure the parts of the rudder hinge for worn areas.

Compare the dimensions that you measured with the permitted dimensions shown in Figure 601.
(4)
Replace or repair the parts that are not in the tolerance.
(5)
Install the rudder hinge (Ref 27-21-21/401).
