Set the FLT CONTROL A and B switches on the forward overhead panel to OFF.

Open these circuit breakers on the P6 panel (Fig. 201):
(a)
SHUTOFF VALVES - FLT CONT (2 locations)
(b)
SHUTOFF VALVES - STBY RUD

Set the ELEC 2, HYD PUMPS A or the ELEC 1 HYD PUMPS B switches on the forward overhead panel to OFF.

Operate the rudder pedals to decrease the remaining hydraulic system pressure.

If any hydraulic connections are to be moved, remove the pressure from hydraulic systems A and B (AMM 29-09-00).

Install the flight control lock assemblies.
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the flight controls shutoff valve at the system A flight controls hydraulic module in the left wheel well.
(b)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the flight controls shutoff valve at the system B flight controls hydraulic module in the right wheel well.
(c)
Put the manual override lever at the two flight control shutoff valves in position 2 (OFF position) (Fig. 202).
(d)
Put the manual override lever at the standby shutoff valve in position 1 (OFF position) (Fig. 203).

Install a flight control lock assembly on each of the three flight control shutoff valves and install the lockpins.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Remove the flight control lock assemblies from the three flight control shutoff valves.

Connect the three electrical connectors to the flight control shutoff valves.

Set the flight control A and B switches on the forward overhead panel to ON.

Close these circuit breakers on the P6 panel:

(b)

Pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs if necessary (AMM 29-09-00).
