(1)
Remove the rudder aft quadrant (AMM 27-21-61/401).
(2)
Measure the parts of the rudder aft quadrant for worn areas.
S 226-003
(3)
Compare the dimensions that you measured with the permitted dimensions shown in Figure 601.
(4)
Replace the parts that are not in the tolerance.

USE A NAS537B4P OR EQUIVALENT BUSHING. DRILL THE HOLE IN THE QUADRANT TO MAKE A 0.0010 TO 0.0000 INCH INTERFERENCE FIT WITH THE BUSHING. THE MAXIMUM SIZE HOLE IN THE QUADRANT IS 0.3754 INCH. REAM THE BUSHING TO A 0.2495-0.2505 INCH DIAMETER.
