Move the rudder pedals through ten cycles to flush and bleed the standby rudder actuator.

Remove power from the standby hydraulic system (AMM 29-15-00/201).

Supply the rudder hydraulic power systems A and B

Open the access panel on the right side of the vertical fin to get access to the standby rudder actuator.

Set the rudder trim to zero units of trim.

Shake the rudder pedals to make sure the rudder is in its neutral position.

Install the rig pin R-5:
(a)
Open the access door at the bottom of the vertical fin on the left side.
(b)
Put the rig pin R-5 in the output crank of the feel and centering unit.
NOTE: The rig pin must install easily without movement of the

output crank.
