Turn the crank back one-half the number of turns from the full forward position, to get to the neutral position.

 (20) With the rudder pedals in the neutral position, connect the pushrods for the rudder pedals to the forward quadrants.
 NOTE: Do the steps that follow to adjust the length of the pushrods

 if it is necessary.

 (a)  Loosen the jamnuts on each end of the pushrod, and turn the pushrod to get the correct length.
 NOTE: The pushrods are the correct length when the rig pin,
____
 R1, R2, R3, and R4, move freely.

 (b)  
Make sure you can see the threads on the rod ends through the inspection holes in the pushrods.

 (c)  
Tighten the jamnuts at each end of the pushrod.

 With rig pin R3 installed, make sure you can easily install rig pin R4. If you cannot easily install rig pins R-4, do these steps to change the length of the busrod:

 (a)  
Release the tension in cables RA and RB.

 (b)  
Remove the bolt at one rod end of the busrod.

 (c)  
Adjust the busrod.

 (d)  
Install the busrod with the bolt, spacers, washers, nut, and cotter pin.
