(3) At the right forward quadrant and jackshaft assembly, do these
steps:
(a) Install the rudder pedal position sensor quadrant to the bottom
of the jackshaft assembly (AMM 31-24-42/401).
(b) Connect the cables for the position sensor (AMM 31-24-42/401).
(c) Install a lockwire on the screws.

(4) At the left forward quadrant and jackshaft assembly, do these steps:
(a) Attach the rudder pedal steering arm to the bottom of the
assembly.
(b) Install the lockwire and cotter pin.

(5) Install rig pins R-3 and R-4 in the forward rig pin holes of each
quadrant.

(6) Connect the busrod for the forward quadrants with the bolt, spacers,
washers, nut, and cotter pin.
NOTE:____ If it is necessary, adjust the busrod until rig pins R-3 and
R-4 move freely.

(7) Make sure the clearance between the cable guard block and the quadrant is 0.03 to 0.05 inch (Fig. 401).
NOTE: Add or remove shims to adjust the clearance if it is
____ necessary.

Move the captain's forward quadrant until you can easily install rig pin R-3 in the aft rig pin hole in the quadrant.
