 (c) (d) (e)  Tighten the cable retaining nut.On the first officer's cable, install the 13-inch nylon tube on the rudder pedal adjustment cable.Install all the cable clamps. 1) Make sure the cable radius is more than 5.0 inch for all the curves in the cable.
 NOTE:____ If the radius is less than 5.0 inch, the cable will not operate correctly.
 (3)  S 714-010Turn the adjustment crank to move the rudder pedals fully forward and then aft. (a) Make sure the cable operates smoothly and freely.
 (4)  S 224-011Do a check of the rudder pedal travel (Ref 27-21-00/501).
 (5)  S 414-012Install the overhead access panels in the forward part of the lower nose compartment.
 (6)  S 414-013Close the access door 1103 (Ref 12-31-11/201).

 WARNING:_______ BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BUSROD, LOOSEN OR DISCONNECT THE
 RUDDER CABLES FROM THE QUADRANTS.  RELEASE THE TENSION EQUALLY
 IN THE TWO CABLES.  IF YOU DO NOT RELEASE THE TENSION, INJURY

 TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (3)  
Loosen the two rudder cables.

Disconnect the applicable cables from the quadrant that you will remove.

Disconnect the busrod and the pushrods from the forward quadrant.

Remove the bearing plate from the bottom of the right jackshaft assembly.

If you will remove the left quadrant, remove the rudder pedal steering arm from the bottom of the jackshaft assembly.

Remove the aft adjustment shaft clamps for the two rudder pedals.

Remove the bolts that hold the adjustment shaft support bracket to the structure and the jackshaft support channel.
