 NOTE: The airspeed values that in the steps that follow are
____ for use only when the static pressure on the airspeed indicator is open to the ambient pressure.
 CAUTION: DO NOT INCREASE THE TEST PRESSURE MORE THAN 6.0 PSI
_______ (474 KNOTS KCAS) DURING THE TEST. IF YOU INCREASE THE PRESSURE MORE THAN 6.0 PSI (474 KNOTS KCAS), YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPUTER.
 (d)  
Attach the regulated air pressure line from the air pressure regulator to the two pitot tubes on the fin.

 (e)  
Pressurize the pitot system to 5.0 |0.1 psi (437 |4 knots KCAS).

 (f)  
Turn the shutoff valve in the air pressure regulator to the off position.

 (g)  
Make sure the pressure does not drop more than 0.3 psi (12 knots KCAS) during a 2 minute time.

 (h)  
Reduce the pitot pressure to zero.

 (3)  Do a test of the feel force system:
 NOTE: Make sure that the elevator and feel computer are correctly
____
 adjusted before you do this test.

 (a)  
Use the trammel bar to set the B dimension at 41.57 |0.05 inches

 (b)  
Do this task: "Null Procedure - Mach Trim Actuator" (AMM 27-31-00/201).

 (c)  
Supply hydraulic power from systems A and B (AMM 27-31-00/201).

 (d)  
Set the FLT CONTROL A and B switches to ON.


 NOTE: The airspeed values in the following steps are for use

 (e)  Use the air pressure regulator to pressurize the pitot system to 3.82 |0.05 psi (386 |2 knots KCAS).

 (f)  Apply masking tape on the tail cone along direction of the travel of the elevator trailing edge.
 NOTE:____ You can use the elevator travel measuring tool as an alternative to the tape method.
 (g)  Move the captain's control column lightly in the longitudinal direction to make sure the system is in the center position and release.
 (h) (i) (j)  Make a mark of the neutral position of the elevator trailing edge on the masking tape.Move the captain's control column slowly aft until the right elevator is at 1.20 |0.05 inches up from the neutral position. 1) Hold the control column at this position. 2) Make sure the column force is in the limit of 42.5 |4.5 pounds.Move the captain's control column slowly forward until the right elevator is at 1.20 |0.05 inches down from the neutral index.
 (k)  1) Hold the control column at this position. 2) Make sure the column force is in the limit of 42.5 |4.5 pounds.Set the FLT CONTROL B switch to OFF and the FLT CONTROL A switch to ON.
 (l) (m) (n)  Move the captain's control column slowly aft until the left elevator is at 1.20 |0.05 inches up from the neutral position. 1) Hold the control column at this position. 2) Make sure the column force is in the limit of 42.5 |4.5 pounds.Move the captain's control column slowly forward until the left elevator is at 1.20 |0.05 inches down from the neutral position. 1) Hold the control column at this position. 2) Make sure the column force is in the limit of 42.5 |4.5 pounds.Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to OFF and the FLT CONTROL B switch to ON.
 (o) (p) (q)  Move the captain's control column slowly aft until the right elevator is at of 1.20 |0.05 inches up from the neutral position. 1) Hold the control column at this position. 2) Make sure the column force is in the limit of 42.5 |4.5 pounds.Move the captain's control column slowly forward until the right elevator is at 1.20 |0.05 inches down from the neutral position. 1) Hold the control column at this position. 2) Make sure the column force is in the limit of 42.5 |4.5 pounds.Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to ON.
