 c)  Measure and write the right tab down position (RTDP).
 2)  Move the captain's control column forward until it touches the stop and hold. a) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator moves
 down 11.15 +/-0.16 inches from the index mark. b) Measure and write the left tab up position (LTUP). c) Measure and write the right tab up position (RTUP).
 3)  Calculate the tab travel.
 a)  Make sure the sum of the left tab neutral position LTNP and the left tab down position LTDP is 1.69 +/- 0.07 inches.
 b)  Make sure the sum of the right tab neutral position RTNP and the right tab down position RTDP is 1.69 +/-
0.07 inches.
 c)  Make sure the difference between the left tab up position LTUP and the left tab neutral position LTNP is
 1.29 +/- 0.07 inches.
 d)  Make sure the difference between the right tab up position RTUP and the right tab neutral position RTNP is 1.29 +/- 0.07 inches.
 4)  Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to OFF and the FLT CONTROL B switch ON.
 5)  Move the captain's control column aft until it touches the stop and hold. a) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator moves
 up 14.00 +0.30/-0.56 inches from the index mark.
 6)  Move the captain's control column forward until it touches the stop and hold. a) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator moves
 down 11.15 +0.22/-0.16 inches from the index mark. 7) Set the FLT CONTROL B switch to OFF.

Use the trammel bar to set the B dimension at 21.32 |0.10 inches (ballnut against lower stop).

Do this task: "Null Procedure - Mach Trim Actuator" (AMM 27-31-00/201).

Supply hydraulic power from systems A and B (AMM 27-31-00/201).

Do a test of the neutral shift operation:

 (a)  
Move the control column lightly in a longitudinal direction to make sure the system is in the center position.

 (b)  
Make sure the right elevator moves up 16.00 |0.50 inches from the index mark on the tail cone.

 (c)  
Use the trammel bar to set the B dimension at 45.84 |0.10 inches (ballnut against upper stop).

 (d)  
Move the control column lightly in the longitudinal direction to make sure the system is in the center position.

 (e)  
Make sure the right elevator moves down 2.60 +0.40/-0.20 inches from the index mark.
