Do a test of the elevator limit travel:
CAUTION: DO NOT PUT A LOAD OF MORE THAN 65 POUND ON THE ELEVATORS
_______ AT ONE TIME. IF THE LOAD IS TOO HEAVY, IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELEVATORS.
(a) Measure the limits of the elevator travel in two directions.
1) Use a loading block and apply a force to the elevator rear spar between the inboard rib and the cutout of the elevator tab.
2) Release the control column and make sure it moves freely. 3) Do this task: Pressurize the Elevator Hydraulic System A or B (AMM 27-31-00/201). 4) Do this task: Remove the Pressure from the Elevator Hydraulic System A and B (AMM 27-31-00/201). 5) Move the left elevator down against the stop. a) Make sure the elevator moves 10.55 +0.60/-0.30 inches from the index mark. 6) Move the left elevator up against the stop. a) Make sure the elevator moves 14.60 +0.30/-0.55 inches from the index mark. 7) Do this task: Pressurize the Elevator Hydraulic System A or B (AMM 27-31-00/201). 8) Do this task: Remove the Pressure from the Elevator Hydraulic System A and B (AMM 27-31-00/201).
