 5. Adjustment - Elevator and Tab Control System

 A. General
 (1)  
The adjustment of the elevator control system aligns the control surfaces and the components to the neutral position. To adjust the elevator and tab control system, you set the B dimension at the neutral rig position, the mach trim actuator at the NULL position and do these tasks:

 (a)  
Adjustment of the elevator control cables EA and EB

 (b)  
Adjustment of the pitch force transducers (AMM 22-11-92/501).

 (c)  
Adjustment of the elevator control pushrods

 NOTE: Do this step if you remove the elevators or the output
____ torque tube; or if the elevators are not synchronized at the neutral position.
 (d)  
Adjustment of the input rod of the elevator power control unit (PCU)

 (e)  
Adjustment of the input rods of the neutral shift mechanism

 (f)  
Adjustment of the output rod of the feel and centering unit

 (g)  
Adjustment of the elevator tab pushrods (ref Fig. 507A).

 (h)  
Adjustment of the input rod of the feel computer.
