 2) Move the captain's control column forward until it touches the stop and hold. a) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator moves down 10.55 +0.60/-0.30 inches from the index mark. b) Measure and write the left tab up position (LTUP). c) Measure and write the right tab up position (RTUP).
 3) Calculate the tab travel. a) Make sure the sum of the left tab neutral position LTNP and the left tab down position LTDP is 1.72 +/- 0.12 inches. b) Make sure the sum of the right tab neutral position RTNP and the right tab down position RTDP is 1.72 +/-
0.12 inches.

 c)  Make sure the difference between the left tab up position LTUP and the left tab neutral position LTNP is
 1.24 +/- 0.12 inches.
 d)  Make sure the difference between the right tab up position RTUP and the right tab neutral position RTNP is 1.24 +/- 0.12 inches.
 4)  Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to OFF and the FLT CONTROL B switch ON.
 5)  Move the captain's control column aft until it touches the stop and hold. a) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator moves
 up 14.60 +0.30/-0.55 inches from the index mark.
 6)  Move the captain's control column forward until it touches the stop and hold. a) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator moves
 down 10.55 +0.60/-0.30 inches from the index mark. 7) Set the FLT CONTROL B switch to OFF.
 (t)  AIRPLANES WITH THE MECHANICAL STOPS ON THE ELEVATOR BUS CRANK (FIG. 505); Calculate the tab travel: 1) Move the captain's control column aft until it touches the
 stop and hold. a) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator moves up 14.00 +0.30/-0.56 inches from the index mark. b) Measure and write the left tab down position (LTDP).
