1) Move the control column full forward and aft between the stops.

Move and hold the control column full forward. 1) Make sure the elevator moves full down and the system operates smoothly.
2) Turn the control wheel to the left and right side between the stops.

Move and hold the control column full aft. 1) Make sure the elevator moves full up and the system operates smoothly.
2) Turn the control wheel to the left and right side between the stops.

(1)
Do a test of the differential pressure switch:
(a)
Set the flaps to the full up position.
(b)
Make sure you close these circuit breakers:
1) P6 Circuit Breakers Panel a) MASTER DIM b) MASTER CAUTION
(c)
Do this task: "Pressurize Elevator Systems A and B" (AMM 27-31-00/201)
(d)
Reset the MASTER CAUTION light to OFF.
NOTE: This is an operational test of the Elevator Feel Force
____ Differential Pressure Switch only. Ignore all the lights that are not part of this test.
(e)
Set the FLT CONTROL B switch on P5 Pilots' Overhead Panel to OFF and the FLT CONTROL A switch to ON.
(f)
Make sure these lights come on:
NOTE: The lights will come on after 3 or 4 seconds.
____
1) The FEEL DIFF PRESS light on P5 Pilots Overhead Panel. 2) The FLIGHT CONTROL and the two MASTER CAUTION lights on the P7 panel.
(g)
Reset the MASTER CAUTION light to OFF.
(h)
Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to OFF and the FLT CONTROL B switch to ON. 1) Make sure the FEEL DIFF PRESS, the two MASTER CAUTION, and
the FLIGHT CONTROL lights come on.

Reset the MASTER CAUTION light to OFF.
(j)
Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to ON. 1) Make sure the FEEL DIFF PRESS light goes off.
(k)
Operate the captain's control column at a constant rate, from the full forward to the full aft to the full forward in approximately 2 seconds (27.5 degrees per second).
NOTE: The FEEL DIFF PRESS light can come on during this check
____ but make sure that the light does not stay on for more than one second.
(l)
Reset the MASTER CAUTION light to OFF, if it is necessary.
(m)
Set the flaps to the 5-unit position
(n)
Set the FLT CONTROL B switch to OFF. 1) Make sure that the FEEL DIFF PRESS light is off.
(o)
Set the FLT CONTROL B switch to ON and the FLT CONTROL A switch to OFF. 1) Make sure that the FEEL DIFF PRESS light is off.
(p)
Move the trailing edge flaps to the full up position.
(q)
Set the FLT CONTROL A and B switches to OFF.
