Procedure


 S 424-005
 (1)  
Install the hydraulic fuse (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Lubricate both ends of the fuse with hydraulic fluid or assembly lubricant.

 (b)  
Put the fuse in its position.


 NOTE: The flow direction arrow must agree with the arrow
____
 on the airplane.

 (c)  Connect the hydraulic lines to the fuse.

Open the No. 5 manual shutoff valve (hydraulic system B) (Fig. 401).

Do these steps to make sure the hydraulic fuse is serviceable:

 (a)  
Pressurize the hydraulic reservoir (Ref 29-09-00/201).


 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL
_______ CONTROL SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THE AILERONS, RUDDER, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (b)  Supply the rudder hydraulic power system B (Ref 27-21-00/201).

 (c) (d) (e)  Move the rudder pedals through their full travel three times and make sure the rudder moves correctly.Make sure the hydraulic fuse does not have a leak.Remove the rudder hydraulic power (Ref 27-21-00/201).
 (4)  S 414-025Close the access door 3701.
 (5)  S 864-024Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: (a) P6-2 panel 1) STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR 2) STABILIZER TRIM CONT
 (6)  S 614-006Fill the hydraulic reservoirs if it is necessary (Ref 12-12-00/301).
