(3) S 864-005Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: (a) P180 DC Power Distribution Panel 1) 180E7 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2 2) 180E22 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4 3) 180H8 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1 4) 180H23 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 3
(4) S 014-006Open the farthest forward left ceiling panel in the main deck to get access to the rudder forward quadrant (Ref 25-22-01/401).
(5) S 494-007Install the rig pin R-3 (Fig. 401).
(6) S 014-008Remove the access panel 324FR or 324FL to get access to the feel and centering mechanism.
(7) S 494-009Install the rig pin R-4 (Fig. 402).
(8) S 014-010Open the access door 312A.
(9) S 034-011Loosen the aft turnbuckles to remove the tension in the cables RA and RB.

Remove the access panel above the drive mechanism for the horizontal stabilizer to get access to the vertical fin.

Get access to the aft quadrant through the opening in the skin above the drive mechanism for the horizontal stabilizer trim.
