WARNING: MAKE SURE PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR BELOW THE RUDDERS.
_______ OBJECTS CAN FALL AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Do these steps to disconnect the power control package (PCP) from the rudder (Fig. 402).
(a)
Remove the nut (14) at the connection of the upper actuator to the rudder.
(b)
Remove the bolt assembly (9) from the upper actuator connection.
(c)
Hold the upper actuator.
(d)
Remove the nut (23) at the connection of the lower actuator to the rudder.
(e)
Remove the bolts (29) (2 locations) and (31).
(f)
Hold the summing lever.
(g)
Remove the summing lever support (15).
(h)
Remove the bolt assembly (24) and the bushing (21).
(i)
Hold the lower actuator.

Turn the lower rudder (11) with your hand to the fully left
position.

Attach the sling assembly to the lift points on the left side of the lower rudder (Fig. 401).
(4)
Attach the sling assembly to the crane.

____ Zero G device) to let you manually move the lower rudder.
