Install the rig pin through the crank and the inner rig pin hole of the bracket.

Do this adjustment of the aileron position indicating system:
(a)
For the outboard aileron, make sure the indication on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page is 0.6 | 0.1 degree down. 1) If the indication is out of the tolerance, adjust the control rod until it shows 0.6 | 0.1 degree down.
(b)
For the inboard aileron, make sure the indication on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page is 0 | 0.2 degree. 1) If the indication is out of the tolerance, adjust the
control rod until it shows 0 | 0.2 degree.
(c)
If you can not adjust the control rod to zero, adjust the transmitter body in the bracket: 1) Move the rig pin to the outer hole.
NOTE: You may need to adjust the control rod to install
____
the rig pin.
2) Loosen the transmitter clamping screws. 3) Adjust the transmitter body until you get the necessary tolerance.
4) Tighten the transmitter clamping screws to 5-10 pound-inches. a) Make sure you do not turn the transmitter body.
(d)
If the indication is not in the tolerance, adjust the control rod: 1) Move the rig pin to the inner hole. 2) Adjust the control rod.
(e)
Install the lockwire on the thumb nut of the control rod.
(9)
Remove the rig pin from the transmitter assembly.

AILERON POSITION TRANSMITTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the aileron position transmitter. The procedure has these parts:

The removal of the aileron position transmitter
(2)
The installation of the replacement transmitter
(3)
The adjustment of the transmitter.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
