Do not remove more than one power control actuator at the same time, unless you install a rudder actuator lock (G27008).
NOTE: Remove the rudder clamp when you install the rudder actuator lock.
____ You only need one rudder actuator lock when more than one actuator is removed.

WARNING:_______MAKE SURE THE NOSE WHEELS POINT FORWARD. IF THE NOSE WHEELS DO NOT POINT FORWARD, THE NOSE GEAR CAN QUICKLY TURN TO THE CENTERED POSITION WHEN YOU REMOVE THE TOW PIN. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Install the TOW PIN at the steering metering valve for the nose landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).
NOTE: The nose gear will turn during the rudder operation if you

do not install the TOW PIN.

CAUTION:_______ MOVE THE RUDDER PEDALS SLOWLY AND SMOOTHLY. THE MINIMUM TIME
TO MOVE THE RUDDER THROUGH A FULL CYCLE IS 8 SECONDS. IF YOU
MOVE THE RUDDER TOO QUICKLY, THE POWER CONTROL PACKAGE CAN BE
DAMAGED.

Push the captain's left rudder pedal forward and hold in position.

Make sure the rudder travels to the full left position.

Lock the left rudder pedal in that position.

Install the rudder clamp between the upper and the lower rudder approximately two inches from the trailing edge.
