G. Rudder Pedal Adjustment Test
NOTE: Do this procedure for the captain's rudder pedals first, then do
____
it again for the first officer's rudder pedals.

Procedure
(a)
Do these steps to adjust the rudder pedals to their center position: 1) Use the adjustment crank to move the rudder pedals to their
fully forward position. 2) Turn the adjustment crank back 6.5 turns from the fully forward position.
(b)
Set the rudder trim indicator to zero.
(c)
Set the parking brake.
(d)
Use the adjustment crank to adjust the rudder pedals to the fully forward position.
(e)
Shake the rudder pedals to make sure they are in their center position. 1) Make sure the flight controls maintenance page of EICAS
shows the rudder pedals are at -0.3 to 0.3 degrees. 2) Put masking tape on the floor to show the position of the rudder pedals.
(f)
Push the left rudder pedal to its fully forward position. 1) Make sure the rudder pedal does not touch the air
conditioning ducts, electrical wires or other parts. 2) Make sure the rudder pedal touches the forward stop. 3) Release the rudder pedal.
(g)
Push the right rudder pedal to its fully forward position. 1) Make sure the rudder pedal does not touch the air
conditioning ducts, electrical wires or other parts. 2) Make sure the rudder pedal touches the forward stop. 3) Release the rudder pedal.
(h)
Release the parking brake.
(i)
Use the adjustment crank to adjust the rudder pedals to the fully aft position.
(j)
Shake the rudder pedals to make sure they are in their center position. 1) Make sure the rudder pedals adjusted 5.90-6.10 inches from
the fully forward position.
(k)
Push the right rudder pedal fully forward. 1) Make sure the rudder pedal touches the forward stop. 2) Release the rudder pedal.
(l)
Push the left rudder pedal fully forward. 1) Make sure the rudder pedal touches the forward stop.

Procedure
(a)
Move the rudder pedals through three or four cycles. 1) Make sure the rudder pedals move smoothly.
(b)
Use a clamp to attach a square to the seat track as a reference point to measure from.
(c)
Shake the rudder pedals to make sure they are in their center position.
(d)
Push the left rudder pedal fully forward. 1) Measure the travel of the rudder pedal from its center position. 2) Make sure the travel is 4.05-4.20 inches measured along the floor. 3) Make sure the flight controls maintenance page of EICAS
shows a rudder pedal travel of 19.5-23.5 degrees left. 4) Release the rudder pedal.
(e)
Shake the rudder pedals to make sure they are in their center position.
