Procedure


 S 424-015
 (1)  
Install the lockout mechanism (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Install the electric actuator on the lockout mechanism, if it is necessary.

 (b)  Install the lockout mechanism on the wing spar support bracket
 with mounting bolts, nuts, and washers.
 (c)  Attach the cables to the lockout mechanism quadrant.
 NOTE:____ On the left wing, make sure at installation, to put
 cable AA15 in the top groove of quadrant, and cable AB15
 in the bottom groove.  On the right wing, make sure to
 put cable AB16 in the top groove of quadrant, and cable
 AA16 in the bottom groove.
 (d)  Install the cotter pins.
 (e)  Connect cables AA and AB at the turnbuckles.
 NOTE:____ Do not tighten the cables.
 (f)  Connect the output control rod to the output crank with a bolt,
 nut and washer.
 (g)  Install the cotter pin.
 (h)  Install the connector on the electric actuator.

_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Do this task: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).
 NOTE:____System No. 1 and 4 for the flaps. System No. 1 or 2 for the left outboard aileron. System No. 3 or 4 for the right outboard aileron.

Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 (4)  
Adjust the ailerons:

 (a)  
Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit detent to extend the outboard flaps.

 (b)  
Tighten the cables to the tension shown in Fig. 401.

 (c)  
Adjust the cable turnbuckles to get the aileron in the adjusted position.

 (d)  
Make sure the aileron is adjusted 0.35-0.50 inch below the wing trailing edge.

 (e)  
Install new turnbuckle clip locks.

 (f)  
Remove rig pin A/S-2 if it is installed.

 (g)  
Remove the straightedge from the control wheels.
