Make sure the seals are in good condition.
(2)
Put the rudder in its position.
(3)
Connect the hinges and the PCP's for the rudder.
(4)
Remove the support equipment for the upper rudder.
(5)
Install the lower rudder.

Prepare for the Removal of the Lower Rudder

WARNING:_______MAKE SURE THE NOSE LANDING GEAR IS POINTED FORWARD. IF THE TIRES ARE NOT PARALLEL WITH THE AIRPLANE, THEY CAN TURN QUICKLY WHEN YOU REMOVE THE RIG PIN. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Install the TOW PIN at the steering metering valve for the nose landing gear (Ref 09-11-00/201).
NOTE: You do this to make sure the nose landing gear does not turn.

(2) S 014-003Remove the access panels (on the verticle fin) for the lower rudder.
(3) S 864-004Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).
(4) S 864-006Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: (a) P180, DC Power Distribution Panel 1) 180E7, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2 2) 180E22, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4
(5) S 864-009Find the switches for the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER on the Pilot's Overhead Maintenance Panel, P461. (a) Put the No. 2 and No. 4 TAIL switches in the SHUT OFF position.
